The Minnesota Zoo's Russia’s Grizzly Coast is the first exhibit of its kind featuring the region, landscapes, and animal combinations of the Russian Far East. The making of a Zoo exhibit is a wonderful blend of art, science, and engineering. Although there are some similarities between Russia’s Pacific coast and Minnesota, there are unique geological differences, too. From the rugged rock formations of the Pacific coast to an authentic log cabin in the woods, designers and contractors worked meticulously to create a one-of-a-kind Russian wilderness.
